To the NPP, the President does not have any new ideas to offer the people of Ghana and so will wait for Nana Addo to outline his vision to the general public and afterwards, do "copy and paste".
They however believe President John Mahama would steal their Manifesto if released before the NDC launches its Manifesto.
Due to this, the NPP has held on to their Manifesto and may or may not even disclose their intentions till the December polls.
But speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, Kobby Fiagbe, a member of the NDC Communication team has lambasted the NPP for accusing the NDC of stealing their (NPP's) promises.
According to him, President John Mahama has not plagiarized anything from Nana Addo, neither will he re-echo the vision of the NPP flagbearer.
He disclosed that the President promised the people in the North that his government would construct a dam in the region long before Nana Addo's "1 Dam, 1 Village" campaign promise.
He noted that the President toured the North and cut a sod for the construction of a dam in the vicinity aimed at improving agriculture.
He further said the President wants to cushion farmers in the country and so, has provided them with modern farming tools to facilitate their business.
Kobby Fiagbe therefore wants the NPP and Ghanaians to note that the President's promises are genuine.
“Goodness Me! John Mahama was in the North two months before Akufo Addo went to make his ‘1 dam, 1 village’ promise. He went to cut sod for the construction of a dam that was going to create 5000 jobs…At that place, he’s not only saying that he will create a dam; he also put up a holistic approach to improving agriculture. He said they are setting up Farmer Assistance Centers to facilitate their agricultural business," he told host Kwami Sefa Kayi.
