Osafo Maafo leads Akufo-Addo's transition team


Former Finance Minister under the Kufour administration Yaw Osafo Maafo has been delegated by president-elect Nana Akufo-Addo to lead his transition team.

The Chief-of-Staff, Julius Debrah, is also leading the transition team of out-going president president john Mahama.

The formation of the transition is in accordance with the provisions of the Presidential Transition Act 2012 (Act 845), the minister of communications, Edward Omane Boamah said in a statement.


Other members of Akufo-Addo's transition team include:

1.​Frema Osei Opare- Head of the Staff of Office of the President-elect
​2. ​Gloria Akuffo- Member responsible for Legal Affairs
​3. ​Ken Ofori- Atta- Member responsible for Finance
​4. ​Ambrose Dery- Member responsible for the Interior
​5. ​Dominic Nitiwul- Member responsible for Defence
​6. ​Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey- Member responsible for Foreign Affairs
​7. ​Hajia Alima Mahama- Member responsible for Local Government
​8. ​Albert Kan Dapaah- Member responsible for National Security

And the other members of president Mahama's team are;

1. Marietta Brew Appiah Opong- Attorney General & Minister for Justice
​2. ​Seth E. Terkper- Minister for Finance
​3. ​Prosper Bani- Minister for the Interior
​4. ​Dr. Benjamin Kunbour- Minister for Defence
​5. ​Hanna S. Tetteh- Minister for Foreign Affairs & Regional Integration
​6. ​Alhaji Collins Dauda- Minister for Local Government & Rural Development
The following are also statutory members of the Transition Team:

1. ​Head of the Civil Service
​2. ​Head of the Local Government Service
​3. ​Secretary to the Cabinet
​4. ​National Security Coordinator
