Rev. Dr. Frimpong Manso |
“My church that I am taking care of is the Presbyterian
church of Ghana members here and Presbyterian Church member serving God in
Bronx and I am not a gay, they are not gay.”
Former moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana PCG, Rev. Dr. Yaw Frimpong Manso has said his church in Bronx does not endorse homosexuality.
“My church that I am taking care of is the Presbyterian church of Ghana members here and Presbyterian Church member serving God in Bronx and I am not a gay, they are not gay.”
The former moderator has resigned from the Presbyterian Church following what he terms disrespectful treatment received from the Presbyterian Church of Ghana PCG.
The immediate past moderator speaking on Citi Fm said a decision to recall him back to Ghana from the USA was communicated to him in a disrespectful manner.
The moderator of the Presbyterian Church in Ghana Rev. Emmanuel Martey in showing the church in Ghana’s disagreement with the Presbyterian Church in the USA decision to ordain gay pastors and other officials of the church who are homosexuals wrote a letter to the former moderator recalling him back to Ghana.
Meanwhile the church in Ghana has said that Rev. Dr. Frimpong Manso still remains a minister of the church.
But the Rev. Dr Frimpong Manso said “it is a total lie! Nobody has spoken with me or to me. Since the time they started writing to me regarding my call back to Ghana, none of the elders or ministers or leaders of the church has called me personally to speak to me on phone about this matter.
“Nobody has written to me to rescind my decision I have not had anything through the mail or through telephone conversations or in any other form.” He added
He however would not disclose what his decision will be if he is approached by the PCG to rescind his decision.
