TV3 Must Gamble Wisely, Nana Aba Carries Weight - Abeiku Santana

Abeiku Santana

Abeiku Santana believes that TV3 would have been tactical the matter carefully  with their key presenters, because It takes years to build a brand and if operators and management  should have understand that concept.

The radio broadcaster in a video interview with Peacefmonline.com disclosed that every media organization is driven by personalities and in Nana Aba’s case, he adds she is a pillar at TV3 who should be cradled with gentle hands.

“Over the years such people develop into brands. Nana Aba has following and such is the case of Kwami Sefa Kayi whose presence, attracts listeners to Peace FM”, he added.

Nana Aba Anamoah, a news anchor and presenter at TV3, was suspended for pulling on a “prank” on her fans on social media.

After an internal preliminary investigation, management of the station decided to take Nana Aba off air until further notice.

In a statement signed by the Chief Executive Officer, Augustus B. Dickson it was stated that “TV3 has taken a serious view of the recent media reportage relating to its news anchor, producer and presenter Ms Nana Aba Anamoah and the alleged online information theft and other unprofessional misrepresentations which have flooded social media and other media in the past one week.”

But Abeiku maintains that “the station has been too emotional and over reactive. It would take time bringing in a new face for their audience to reverberate with. It is a gamble for them but for sustainability and continuity sake, they must fall back on her”, he pleaded.
