The foreign Media Like BBC, Al-Jazeera, etc Can't Be Stopped From Showing Anas' Video - Ade Coker

Ade Coker
Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Ade Coker says attempt to place an injunction on Anas Aremeyaw Anas' undercover video regarding some alleged corrupt judges is an exercise in futility.

Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Ade Coker was of a strong view that even if High Court Justice Paul Uuter Dery succeeds in preventing Anas from showing the video to the public in Ghana, Anas can however release it to the international media such as BBC and Al-Jazeera.

“You can’t stop BBC, Al-Jazeera or CNN from showing it or you will go to BBC in UK that Ghana’s law court has declared an injunction for the tape not to be shown here?" he rhetorically asked.

Justice Paul Uuter Dery is very bent on blocking Anas' exposé of judges receiving bribes to compromise their ruling on cases.

He has sued the producers of the video, Tiger Eye PI, the Chief Justice and Attorney General.

Aside suing these entities, he also wants to stop the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) from using its venue to show the video on Tuesday, September 22 and 23, 2015.

As if to say that there are several ways to kill cat, the NDC Regional Chairman noted that Anas and the Tiger Eye investigative team can also pirate the video.

"You’re doing this act in futility…They can pirate it. They can make a DVD copy. Can you stop them? So, there are things that you involve yourself and you realize you cannot stop it; you don’t go ahead and do it.”

He also commended the Chief Justice Mrs. Georgina Wood for taking actions to investigate the judges cited in the video. “The woman has shown how tough and strong and fearless she is.”
