“If members of the NPP have decided to kill themselves there is nothing a police protection can do to stop them from such a decision taken, so until they change from making uncalled for statements they would always have internal problems in their party,” he said.
Speaking on Okay FM’s ‘Ade Akye Abia’ morning show to host Kwame Nkrumah, the NDC Chief Scribe alluded to a witless remark by an NPP MP who allegedly said people now urinate at the back of his house ever since John Mahama became President.
“When I listen to politicians talk like this, it makes me believe the more that the NPP party has no campaign message, so they talk anyhow without making any positive impact in the country.
“The various statements I have read from the camp of the NPP after the death of Hon. J.B Danquah-Adu tells me without doubt that the party is not at its best to win the 7th November elections,” he stated.
Gen Mosquito, who failed to disclose the politicians in question, however, added that he never imagined NPP activists would be so unconcerned about the deceased family's sensibilities, by making injudicious statements like, "his killing was an insider job", "we suspect foul play", and talks of him being "groomed to lead the party in the 2020 elections".
“ Indeed these are questionable utterances that persons involved must be invited by the police for investigative purposes,” he said.
He advised that as Ghanaians, we should focus on ways that can help us unravel the series of unresolved murders at hand and stop pinpointing figures at one another which would rather worsen the situation.
