Allan Kamote lands in Accra to face Tagoe

The Tanzanian faces Asamoah Gyan's boxer, Emmanuel Game Boy Tagoe for the Ghanaian's WBA International Lightweight belt at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday night

 Allan Kamote (26-8-4, 15 KO’s) has arrived in Ghana for his Friday throwdown versus Emmanuel “Game Boy” Tagoe (24-1, 11 KO’s) at the Accra Sports Stadium Sports Hall.

Kamote touched down at Kotoka international Airport in Accra on Tuesday afternoon accompanied by his trainer.

The Tanzanian will be challenging Tagoe for Tagoe’s WBA International lightweight belt. Kamote will be looking for his first win in Ghana after suffering a second round KO loss to George Ashie in December 2014.

  A win for Tagoe will likely improve his WBA ranking, where he is currently number seven at lightweight.

The card, put together by Baby Jet Promotions and dubbed “Night of Warriors,” will have the fighters weigh in on Thursday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
 

Other fights on the undercard are Raymond 'Chorkor Banku' Commey versus Joshua Barnor in a Super Bantamweight contest, Michael Ansah vrs Richard Amenfu in a Lightweight clash, Isaac Dogboe against Emmanuel Laryea at Featherweight, Prince Octopus Dzanie versus Billy Quaye in a Bantamweight contest, Sheriff Quaye against Richard Caesar at Lightweight and Philip Kotey versus Abdul Majid in a Middleweight contest.
