According to her, "No matter whom you are, no matter where you are, criticism is always important. If you don’t allow people to criticize you, you don’t know whether you’re charting a good path or doing the right thing.
Addressing supporters of the party at an acclamation ceremony for the Volta Regional Executives, Nana Konadu said, "Whatever it is, criticism is good for your own spiritual growth and upbringing and helps you to improve on your way of life…it is very important to have criticism and critique because it helps to bring you back in line
"But if you say that you will not agree to anyone criticizing you because they have never been in your position, then you are someone we should put a big question mark on and not look at you as a leader at all", she added.
President Mahama a fortnight ago chastised Economist and Vice Presidential Candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for calling him [President Mahama] incompetent.
Dr. Bawumia have over the years bemoaned the poor administration of President John Dramani Mahama.
According to Dr. Bawumia, the current government lacks the fiscal discipline to revamp the economy.
Speaking to party supporters during his Greater Accra tour, President Mahama said "I hear Bawumia say I'm incompetent yet he's never come close to what being a president is."
But Nana Konadu said, "If you are a leader, you learn to accept criticisms. You cannot say that because somebody has not been president before they cannot criticise you.
"When you are charting a path, you don’t see what is behind you so you listen to what those monitoring tell you."
