A female student of the Ho Polytechnic in the Volta region has been found dead in a pool of blood by her mates on Monday dawn at 'Divine Star', a private hostel.
The victim, Naomi Kpodzro, who is a first year HND Fashion student, was found with knife and gunshot wounds on her body.
It is, however, unclear what led to the killing of the lady by an unidentified assailant(s).
Confirming the news to Accra-based Starr FM, assistant registrar in-charge of Public relations at the Polytechnic, Mr. Isaac Meyir said the young lady was pronounced dead upon arrival at the regional Hospital in Ho.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that a call made to the victim's phone was answered by the suspected killer who said “it's not everyman's money you spend and go for free.”
Police in Ho have launched investigations into the cause of the crime.
