Bagbin |
Alban Sumana Kinsford Bagbin was adjudged the overall Best MP for the year under review with Hon. Eric Opoku of Brong Ahafo Region being named the Best Regional Minister.
FAKS Investigative Services, a Ghanaian research and background investigative company conducted the survey to assess the performance of Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Regional Ministers, Members of Parliament and the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) for the year 2015.
This survey usually takes place between the months of October and December every year. FAKS uses these three month period to seek opinions from Ghanaians as to which of the people listed above have done exceptionally well and need to be recognized.
The 2015 project was the 4th Edition since FAKS started assessing the performance of Ministers, Deputies, Regional Ministers, and MPs.
As part of the 2015 survey, the FAKS team also considered the performance of CEOs/MDs/DGs of State Owned Enterprises (SOEs) in the country.
FAKS picked Overall Best three (3) CEOs/MDs/DGs in the SOEs sector.
Also, the team picked one Best CEO/MD/DG for agencies under some Ministries. For instance, if you pick the Ministry of Communications, which CEO/MD/DG is the Best among the CEOs/MDs/DGs under the Ministry of Communications?
FAKS placed some agencies under some Ministries due to the nature of their activities. We placed National Lottery Authority (NLA) and Registrar Generals Department under the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Ministry of Trade and Industry respectively. However, we did not consider all Ministries.
We consider projects execution at the various Ministries, Agencies, Regional sectors and works by MPs at various committee levels and the flour of the house, as well as responses to public issues and Government activities.
We also picked Best Party Administrator from some of the political parties in the country. Our term ‘Best Party Administrator’ does not mean the party official who runs the party’s office. But rather who has performed exceptionally well within the party in 2015.
In all, FAKS recorded 3,721 respondents across the country. These included feedback from social media, face-to-face interviews, and compilation of forms from the respondents.
FAKS ranks 1st Position between the percentage of 85 and 100; 2nd Position between 75% and 84.99%; and 3rd Position between 65% and 74.99%.
