Montie 3: Every Human Errs . . . - Kwesi Pratt Pleads

Kwesi Pratt
Kwesi Pratt has over the weeks been praying the Supreme Court Judges temper justice with mercy on the contemnors in the Montie FM contempt case.

The veteran journalist, Kwesi Pratt has been pleading clemency for the three persons; Montie FM's political programme host Salifu Maase a.k.a Mugabe and his panelists, Alistair Nelson and Godwin Ako-Gunn.

Wondering why Mr. Pratt believes the contemnors deserves judicial pardon.

Mr. Pratt revealed his reasons during Tuesday edition of 'Kokrokoo' on Peace FM.

He noted that every human is prone to making mistakes in his life.

Though some mistakes may carry greater weigh, it's only prim and proper that when a person lands into trouble; he or she shouldn't be crucified.

Mr. Pratt pointed out emphatically that he's been empathizing with the Montie FM contemnors because he doesn't know what the future holds for him.

Although he will work extremely hard to avoid being a victim in a contempt situation; he however believes he is not immune to making mistakes in his line of profession.

“We are humans. There is no human in this world that doesn’t err. Some mistakes are greater than others and some are intentionally committed. I agree but I don’t know what will happen to me tomorrow . . . I have learned lessons from this. I won’t push someone, for no one to speak in my favour should mine occur. It’s my prayer that I don't find myself in such situations. I will work hard to avoid such experience . . ." Mr. Pratt told host Kwami Sefa Kayi.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court presided over by Justice Sophia Akuffo has pronounced the trio guilty of contempt against the Highest Court of the land.

They were found guilty of scandalizing the court, defying and lowering the authority of the court and bringing it into disrepute.

The contemnors were given self-recognizance bail by the court as they await sentencing on Wednesday, July 27.
